Según la prensa inglesa Caparrós no seguiría en el Athletic si ganara la plancha de García Macua y éste se habría fijado en Mark Hughes como técnico para el club.

Mark Hughes, who resigned as Fulham boss just over three weeks ago, is on the short list for the Athletic Bilbao job. The Spanish club are currently gearing up for presidential elections on July 7, when it will be confirmed that current coach Joaquin Caparros is leaving.
